CROSS COUNTRY MOVE

A close friend of mine and his family are moving from one coast to the other. They asked me how can they find out the areas of their new town to consider when looking for a new home. They feel like the real estate agents they talk to are biased to their own areas they work in. I suggested that they call a random real estate appraiser and visit with them. Ask the appraiser to name the top 5 areas that they could recommend. Appraisers work with lenders and real estate profesional and are generally unbiased.
